Christchurch Garden Railway Group promotes the modelling of railways, of
any prototype, in a garden setting.
Some railways are fitted into established gardens , while others
have the gardens formed around the railway.Most garden railways are
established on 45mm gauge track and the locomotives may be track
powered, battery powered or live steam. Radio control is, in most cases,
the norm, while many still run with track power. The pictures on this

Group meets monthly at the homes of members for Running Days.
Running Days enable members to view progress on other members gardens
and railways. New ideas are
shared and visitors trains are run, along with the hostís trains.

One of the features on the Kippenberger Line is this circus scene, the Railway
also winds through a lovely well kept garden. Above Right; One of
the oldest Railways in the club based around the American theme with
plastered mountains, ponds & bridges. All the buildings, people, cars
& trucks all get taken inside at the end of each running session.
